After high school, Charlie went to work in his family textile printing company, Riverside Novelty. He quickly developed an entrepreneurial spirit, going on to own several businesses including, Mark Lithography, a commercial printing company where he worked until his retirement in 2022.
Charlie was a devoted family man who loved being around his family and friends. He enjoyed playing golf. He was a proud member and former president of both the Wayne Lions Club and the Fidelians of America. Some of Charlie’s most treasured memories were spent in Point Pleasant with his family. He loved nothing more than a house full of family and friends. One of Charlie’s greatest joys was taking his family on vacations. He and Pat enjoyed spending the winters in North Palm Beach, Florida where they made many memories with family and friends.
Charlie met the love of his life, Patricia Falato, in 1960 through mutual friends. He and Patricia married in May of 1963 at Blessed Sacrament RC Church in Paterson. Charlie and Patricia were blessed with two children, Steven and Debra, five grandchildren and one great grandson.
