Leonard H. “Len” Adoff, passed away peacefully on August 7, 2026 at the age of 70

Len was born in Perth Amboy, New Jersey, in 1956 to Lenore Kugel and Sidney Adoff. He grew up in Metuchen, New Jersey, where he attended Metuchen High School and developed his lifelong love of wrestling and sports. He graduated from Tulane University in 1978 and later earned his law degree from university of Maryland.  He returned to Metuchen where he established his career in private practice and remained connected to the community, he called home.

Above all, Len was a caring and proud father to his two sons, Max and Noah.  He encouraged them to pursue their passion and live their lives fully.  Len shared a special bond with Max through their love of singing, comedy and theater.  Some of his happiest moments were spent singing, joking, and laughing together.  He was equally proud of Noah and admired his dedication, courage and commitment to service through University of Tampa, and his chosen career as an officer in the United States Coast Guard

In recent years, life wasn’t always easy for Len, but he embraced the people and passions that brought meaning and joy to his life.  He cared deeply about sports and refereeing for wrestling, baseball and volleyball. Those who knew him will remember his big heart, his humor and his passion for the things that mattered most.

He is survived by his sons Max and Noah, his sister Lori and husband Jay, his sister Arlene and husband Randy, his beloved niece Gabi and his cousin Janyne and many extended family members, friends and colleagues.

Lens greatest legacy is the love he had for his children and the memories they will carry with them. The best way to honor him is to live fully, find happiness, and follow your own path.

May he find peace in his final resting place.
