Michele Tregaskis passed away on Friday, October 30, 2026, surrounded by the love of those who meant the most to her.
Born in Paterson, New Jersey, Michele was one of two children born to Salvatore and Jennie La Vecchia. She attended John F. Kennedy High School in Paterson and graduated with the Class of 1976. Following graduation, Michele began her professional career at ECI in Wayne, where she worked as a Senior Account Manager for fourteen years. She later accepted a position with Incom Conference Calling, also serving as a Senior Account Manager for seven years, before retiring due to health issues.
It was also in 1976 that Michele's life took a wonderful turn when she was introduced to Albert Tregaskis by his brother at the Colonial Grill in Paterson. What began as a chance meeting blossomed into a lifelong love. The two were married on August 31, 1985, at St. James of the Marches Roman Catholic Church in Totowa. They initially settled in Paterson, where they welcomed their two children, Albert and Nicole. In 1992, they moved to Wayne, where they have remained ever since, building a home filled with love and raising their family together.
Michele found great joy in the simple pleasures of life, especially those shared with family and friends. An enthusiastic cook and baker, she was particularly well known for her delicious chicken Parmesan, a family favorite. She loved watching cooking shows and discovering new recipes and ideas to bring into her own kitchen. Some of her happiest memories were made during the family's annual vacations to the Jersey Shore in Lavallette, as well as their trips to Florida and Disney World. She also enjoyed dressing up for Halloween, attending concerts with her husband, family, and friends, and spending time watching movies. Her beloved dogs, Copper and Sophie, held a very special place in her heart as well.
Above all else, Michele's greatest passion was her family. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, and cherished grandmother who took immense pride in those she loved. Michele and Albert shared fifty years of love, devotion, and unwavering commitment to one another. She will be remembered for her sweet and charming personality, her ability to speak her mind, and the warmth and kindness.
Michele leaves behind a lifetime of treasured memories and a legacy of love that will live on through her family and all those fortunate enough to have known her. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by everyone whose life she touched.
Michele is survived by her husband Albert Tregaskis of Wayne, NJ, her son Albert Tregaskis of Orangeville, PA, and Nicole Boudaher and her husband George of North Caldwell, NJ, three grandchildren; Hunter Boudaher of North Caldwell, NJ Giselle Boudaher of North Caldwell, NJ, and Tyler Boudaher of North Caldwell, NJ, her brother-in-law Michael Tregaskis of Smithville, NJ, and her dear friend Donna Cobianchi of Wayne, NJ.
