Pauline E. Reilly, age 94, of Pompton Plains, passed away on Thursday, August 27, 2026.
Born in Hoboken, Pauline lived in Ramsey for thirty years before moving to Cedar Crest Village in Pompton Plains where she lived to the present.
Pauline was a graduate of Rutgers University. She worked for Tenneco Chemicals, Crest Foam, and, in later years, for Dator Publishing in Ramsey.
Pauline embraced all the fun and meaningful aspects of life at Cedar Crest Village. She belonged to the Catholic Council and organized the annual retreat for Catholic women. She was instrumental in establishing a library in Woodland Commons. During major holidays she organized the Friendship Table – a place where those who were not with family could share a holiday meal. For many years she organized the annual Mardi Gras party which was a favorite among the residents.
Pauline was predeceased by her parents, Thomas and Sophie (Maciukiewicz) Reilly, her brother Thomas Reilly, Jr., her nephew Robert and her niece Cara. She is survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, a donation in Pauline’s memory to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
